Cabinet Refinishing & Resurfacing

Our cabinet refinishing and resurfacing service encompasses a meticulous, multi-step process:

1. Door & Drawer Pickup & Delivery (1-2 Hours): We begin by carefully removing your cabinet doors and drawer fronts for off-site refinishing, then safely transport them to our shop.

2. On-Site Preparation (4-5 Hours): Back in your kitchen, we meticulously prepare the cabinet frames:
* We thoroughly degrease the frames.
* Scuff sanding ensures proper adhesion of new finishes.
* The surrounding kitchen is carefully masked using plastic, tape, and floor paper to protect open cabinets (no need to empty them!), floors, countertops, and appliances from overspray.

3. Off-Site Preparation for Doors & Drawer Fronts: At our shop, each door and drawer receives detailed attention:
* Thorough degreasing removes any contaminants.
* Surfaces are scuff sanded, and any imperfections are repaired with wood filler and bondo, followed by a glazing bondo for the best results.
* Two coats of S-W Bonding Primer are applied to both sides of each door and drawer.
* Two coats of S-W Gallery Series Solvent Based Finish Coating are then applied.

4. On-Site Application: Back in your home, we prep your newly primed cabinet boxes.
* Sanding any inconsistencies
* Repairing any damage using wood filler and bondo
* Applying two coats of Bonding Primer to both sides of the cabinet doors & drawers
* Applying two coats of S-W Gallery Series Solvent Based Finish Coating.

5. Post Application: The transformation is completed with meticulous cleanup:
* All plastic, tape, and floor paper are removed.
* The area is thoroughly vacuumed to remove any debris.
* We wipe down all surfaces to remove any spray-dust.

6. Final Installation: Once the frames are finished, we schedule a convenient time to reinstall your refinished doors and drawer fronts. Our standard sheen is Satin, providing a beautiful, durable finish. Alternate sheen options are available upon request.
